Arrest Report Suppliment Completed by Det. Ron Gosage "Also present was "Jennifer" an investigator with H. Ellis Armistead and Associates, a private investigation firm hired by the Ramsey family and attorneys." "* A small door separates the outside slot and the interior of the house. This door was closed and when opened I could see that the angled wood allowed the mail to slide into the house was also charred and burned. "Jennifer" later advised that she and Brian Morgan had been in the house earlier that morning and she closed this door with a towel from the kithen. She said they did notice the fire evidence at the time but failed to notify the police." J.T. Colfax's Comments: "TWELVE HOURS AFTER THE FIRE (in which I left various objects with MY name on them a semi charred state on the floor under the mail slot) I couldn't stand wandering around any more assuming the police were looking for me around noon I called Det. Ron Gosage"
06-19-1997 The "crime scene photos" were taken over 12 hours after the crime. Arrest Report Suppliment Completed by Det. C. Weinheimer "Shortly after entering the house I was contacted by Jennifer Gedde who came to the front door. She said she was an investigator for Chrisman, Bynum and Johnson. She said she had been in the home earlier on the same date and had observed the fire damage. She said she closed the door to the mail slot with a towel taken from the kitchen to prevent any disturbance of the scene by wind blowing through the opened mail slot. She said she reported her discovery to Brian Morgan." "Outside the house near the front door I observed several twigs and sticks that could have been used to push open the inner door to the mail drop through the exterior slot. Officer Zamora dusted the mail slot lid for latent fingerprints but did not find any"
